the result? a slightly camp looking Dee. i do really like his facial expression and cant wait to try more out :D

finally catching up

finally i rendered my box ball animation (Playtime) its been a while the only problems i really encountered with  this was the squash and stretch on the ball when it bounces, however i think i have over come the problem and this is what i have finished with... other than not knowing how to get it rendered.

i have learnt alot from this and hope i can encorporate what i have learnt about conveying emotion into my future animations. expecct more soon ...im on a roll !

Playtime take 2

Ok so haven't really been keeping you guys up to date...but i have been busy :) firstly i have edited my playtime storyboard to better fit the time frame i was given (10-12seconds), as my initial idea was a little too long, i have now started animating on Maya and hopefully it will get posted on here when i'm done, so keep your eyes peeled.

I've also done a load of pose sketching, you will be bombarded with this soon...in the mean time take a look at one of my most favourite shorts to this day. :)

anyway... more later i guess :)

Playtime

so here is my rough storyboard for our first task :) my concept is a playful little ball and a tired, lazy cube. the ball eventually entices the cube to play...but it doesn't quite work out.

now to start animating it :D hopefully it will turn out ok its my first time using Maya.

it has begun

finally ive got round to scanning my sketches in here is page one of my poses, i really enjoyed doing this it was
fun to see how fast i could get down a passer by's pose before they were gone, expect more later. also....people watching is hilarious.

i guess there will be more later, until then see ya later :D xx

lets get started

firstly... welcome to my blog :) hopefully it wont bore you but it will be the place my ideas develop and progress :)

so recently i've fallen in love with an amazing 2D animation...i know this is a 3D thing....but i find it so inspiring so i thought id share it with you :)

secondly we were set a small task to do a few pose sketches, which i will get round to doing....but for now I've just finished a rough ( and when I say rough... I mean rough ) animation of Iaido ( its a club ive recently joint at my university all about the art of Japanese swordsman ship ) its full of all sorts of poses too so I thought it might be relevant...right ?

enjoy and I hope ill keep you up to date  ^.^
